The 2003 Master Plan outlined development concepts for guiding the future of the campus, the original 1963 design of which was a monumental achievement by the renowned architect Paul Rudolph. Key recommendation of the new master plan were development of student residences, expansion of academic facilities, and softening the wind-swept plazas to create more inviting gathering spaces.
Many of the recommendations of this 2003 Master Plan have been implemented.
